Temporary placement of personnel (contractual)

When faced with hiring a new staff; a temporary replacement, handling a work overload, or completing a special project: C.L.A. Personnel is dedicated to bring together candidates and organisations thus answering the needs and expectations of one another. CLA Personnel recruits, evaluates, and hires personnel on a daily basis. Our pre-screened, qualified candidates are conveniently at the disposal of our clients.

Provided with a precise job description, including the hours of work, the length of the term and the skills and qualifications required, C.L.A. Personnel attends to carefully pair the selection criteria's to our best available candidate. During the selection process we insure proper liaison between the employer and the potential candidate(s). The candidate's file (including: resumes, test results, and reference checks) can be provided to the customer, for the initial selection. Afterwards, interviews can be arranged to determine the final choice.

The selected employee is assigned to the workplace, while C.L.A. Personnel remains the employer and is therefore responsible for all related employer costs including: Canada Pension Plan, Unemployment Insurance, WSIB/CSST, statutory holidays, and vacation days. The billing rate is established during the initial consultation between the client and one of our team members. It is based on the job description, the complexity of the task, the experience required, the salary requirements and the client's budget. Salary is also determined at the onset and no amount is subdued or subtracted from the employee's wages.

Permanent placement of personnel

Fast, efficient and guaranteed, permanent placement services are in great demand. The selection process is practically the same as for contractual placements. The final stage or the offer is what really makes the difference:

When an organisation decides to hire one of our employees permanently, the selected candidate is employed by the client from the first day of work. Our permanent placement fees will vary depending on the complexity of the position to be filled and the demand for such talent on the job market. The honoraries are based on the annual salary of the position. Each placement offers a 90 day guarantee period in the event of a resignation or a dismissal. In any case, C.L.A. Personnel will arrange for a replacement without further cost.

Selection Process:

Requirements analysis

First off, CLA Personnel conducts an assessment of the corporate culture and work environment. We provide, if necessary, assistance in the preparation of job description and comparative analysis of pay scales according to the market and the region.

Research and strategic recruitment

Using the tools we have developed and CLA Personnel's research and recruitment methods, we are seeking the best candidates available on the market. We then proceed to the analysis and selection of qualified potential candidates.

Evaluation of applicants

To ensure that the common interests of both parties are compatible we conduct an initial telephone assessment. Depending on the job description, requirements and technical specifications of the position, our recruiters validate the details that make all the difference. The selected candidates are then convened for an interview with our recruiters.

Presentation of candidates

We present the results of our research and introduce you to profiles of the selected candidates.

Client Interviews

We manage appointments according to your availability. CLA Personnel may also prepare, revise or create interview questions, and / or assist or participate to interviews. Our interview rooms are available for you.

Reference verification and criminal record

The reference verification is a crucial step in the hiring process. A detailed report of the audit will be handed to you and will include contact details of the solicited candidates.

Job offer

With your cooperation, we will present the best offer possible. We are able to support you in every step of the process in terms of writing, legalities or wage and benefits negotiations.

Monitoring, evaluation and performance report

During the search of candidates, we will inform you regularly of our progress. Because we guarantee our services, we evaluate your satisfaction and the one of the employee towards the set expectations.

Fees

Our placement fees vary depending on the complexity of the position and the duration of the warranty period desired. In general, the industry rule of ninety days prevail, however, CLA Personnel offers the flexibility to choose the format that suits you best.

Results Guaranteed

Placement is guaranteed for the period determined above, in the event that the employee left the job or do not meet the job requirements. In the event that none of the job requirements have been modified, we will replace the employee free of charges. You have a period of 60 working days after the last working day of the initial candidate to take advantage of this warranty.

Revision, editing and proofreading

We are primarily a recruiting and staffing firm. Over the years, we have developed a large clientele with whom we assign our consultants to individual mandates of all kinds. Given the large number of external resources, we recruit, daily, talented individuals in all areas of expertise. In our bank of candidates, you will find consultants and professionals as well as many freelancers and subcontractors.

Thus, CLA Personnel's consultants take part in several different projects related with human resources, finance and communications. Over the years we have had multiple warrants for writers, editors, proofreaders and translators. Our database of consultants in this area is the most complete and it is these professionals that we're able to offer editorial services, proofreading and test editing to our clients.

Unilingual Revision (French and / or English)

Substantive Editing or structural revision

Substantive revision or structural revision is required to clarify or reorganize the content and structure of a text, by suggesting changes or drafting them. It may also include negotiating changes with author.

Stylistic Revision

Stylistic revision is required to clarify the sense, eliminating jargon, polishing the style, and to revise the text line by line. Copy editing

Copy editing is required to make grammar, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation corrections, to standardize these elements throughout the text, to verify data consistency throughout the text, to indicate levels of titles and the approximate location of illustrations, to notify the designer of any special requirements regarding production. It may also include the following activities: Canadianization; ensure uniformity of quotations, write or revise captions and mentions, to draft current titles, to make a list of required permissions, or write the front matter, the complementary parts and / or the cover text and negotiate changes with the author.

Mark-ups / Coding

Add the specifications set by the designer for the composer.

Bilingual Revision (English-French, French-English)

Revise translated documents and, if necessary, translate changes or missing information and respect the wording. Ensure that documents meet high quality standards that the level of language is suitable to the audience, and that the translation is transmitting the message of the original text with accuracy (fidelity to the author), in the correct target language, appropriate to the subject and the recipient.

Proofreading (English and / or French)

Compare the manuscript to the formatted document to ensure that all text has been transferred, correct typos and format incoherence. Read the revised manuscripts. The correction of galley proofs may include the following activities: integrating changes from the author or decide on their merits, mention illustration positioning and check references.
